FEDERAL TE GRANT

LIVABLE CENTERS INITIATIVE (LCI)

TE GRANT:
The mTa with the assistance of HGOR and the sponsorship of DeKalb County prepared the application for a Federal Transportation Enhancement (TE) Grant. The application was submitted by DeKalb County and in 2004 DeKalb County was awarded the TE Grant for the Tucker Main Street Pilot Project. The DeKalb County Commission voted to accept the $900.000 Grant and to fund the required 20% Match of $225,000.

The TE Grant is awarded by the Federal Government, Administered by the Georgia State Highway Department to DeKalb County for the Tucker Pilot Project. The DeKalb Transportation Department and HGOR supported by mTa are working through the required approval process such that the work can begin!!!

Optimistically we will be in a position to Advertise for bid for the first phase of construction.
