LIVABLE CENTERS INITIATIVE (LCI)

LCI STUDY:
The Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) Study is funded through the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) to provide funding to projects that increase residential development, mixed-uses, and connectivity in activity and town centers throughout metropolitan Atlanta . Due to the success of the initial program, the ARC Board authorized the extension of the LCI program as part of the 2030 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) with an added focus on corridors and emerging centers.

Recognizing the need for a comprehensive forum for Community Input and documentation of this input into an Implementation Plan, mTa applied several times for the ARC, LCI Study Funding.  With the Sponsorship of DeKalb County Planning and Transportation Department and Study Grant was awarded to DeKalb County for Tucker.

The Tucker Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) study focuses on the revitalization of the Tucker downtown area. The proposed study area for the Tucker LCI project is bounded by Brockett Road on the west, LaVista Road on the north, and Lawrenceville Highway on the south and east.
The Study and Community Meetings are currently in process.  Go to www.tuckerlci.org for more information and a schedule of events.
