What is the Cost?

The approximate cost of additional Planning services to complete the concept, and Engineering Services to complete construction documents (for the Main Street Phase of the plan) will be $250,000. Very preliminary estimate for the construction cost for the Main Street Phase is at $1,500,000. mTa will apply for government grants to cover approximately 80% of the cost however, 20% will have to be funded locally.

Fundraising

The Primary Funding for revitalization will be through Grants.  To date mTa has been instrumental in getting over 1.5 million dollars in Grant money for the Tucker Revitalization.  However most Grants require matching funds, so mTa sponsors events on Main Street to raise awareness for Local Businesses, Sponsorships, Membership and other funding Efforts.

mTa is currently selling Vanity Bricks and sponsorship of other Hardscape & Landscape Features to be incorporated in the construction of the Extreme Makeover.
